Alex and Ruth tied the knot in Panbride Parish Church, Carnoustie, Scotland in July, and danced the night away in the grounds of their stunning family home. From the moment Ruth got in touch to plan their stationery for their big day, I knew it would be a special one! I was so inspired by their pale mint, gold, light grey and white colour scheme and couldn’t wait to start designing their invitations!
“Working with Jenni was like working with an old friend. She is lovely, personable and genuinely cares about your big day. She is also extremely organised, talented and reliable. Jenni was very good at understanding my vision for our wedding stationery, even when I was very vague at the beginning of the process as to what I would specifically like. Her suggestions were brilliant and just to my taste!”

Ruth and Alex’s Invitations were printed using a combination of gold hot foil, embossed into the card, and flat printing (for the grey text, calligraphy and map). The suite included the main invite, green and white map, a details card, RSVP card and reply envelope and a separate mini card inviting guests to a post wedding BBQ the next day. All pieces were wrapped together with vellum and then stamped with the couples custom monogram wax seal in gold.
“The process of designing the stationery was really exciting and good fun. Jenni loves a challenge and is absolutely full of ideas and knowledge of her craft. She has a genuine passion for her work, and you know she truly cares about your big day from the effort which so clearly goes into the design process, which is lovely. Nothing was too much to ask. Jenni was very patient and made sure I was 100% happy before going to print. Jenni can also be flexible when it comes to your budget when designing your suite which was great. She provided us with several options which differed in cost.”

The cocktails and reception was held in the gardens of the couples family home, with a stunning spread of flowers, calligraphy and sunshine. The walk ways were lit by hanging lights at night.
For the reception we made calligraphy place cards, and menu booklets for the tables, both with the botanical wax seal in white pearl. We also provided table plan cards and wooden signage for the stunning event space.
“We received so many compliments about our invitations. Several guests commented that they were the most beautiful invitations they had ever seen, and that they were excited for the wedding as a result.”
“The on the day pieces tied in beautifully with our wedding venue, and with our invitations. The wooden ‘order of events’ sign was stunning and Jenni had left room for the florist to decorate the top which was a brilliant idea. It created a lovely welcome to our marquee.

My favourite pieces though would have to be the name places. They were so unique and beautiful, with a gorgeous wax seal. Our guests absolutely loved them.”
Some advise from the bride and groom…
“Try to relax, and enjoy every minute. The little things that worry you in the run up to the day will seem minuscule when you look back, so don’t stress! Dance the night away with the love of your life, your family and friends. You will remember those moments forever.

Oh, and if you’re outside at all, just accept that your wedding dress is going to get really dirty!! But trust me, you won’t care :)”
