Personal Data We Collect

We may collect the following information:
- Name, email, address and phone number
- Billing address and payment details
- Other information relevant to your order e.g. your wedding date and other vendors that you are working with.

How we collect your personal data

We collect personal data through:
- Our contact and custom stationery questionnaire form on this website which arrives in an email inbox that is password protected 
- Through our websites online shop
- Through Subbly, our checkout system for The Calligraphy Box
- Through direct messages on social media or through email (all are password protected)
- Over the phone or face to face if we meet
- Through an Etsy order

What do we do with the information we gather

We collect your name, email address and phone number so that we can communicate with you about your calligraphy or stationery. We also collect your address so that we can post your items to you and so that we can include this detail in your RSVP cards (if you have them). All of this is necessary for us to carry out our services for you.
If you have purchased workshop tickets through our website, We will use your name to create your personalised calligraphy kit and your email address to get in contact with you if there have been any changes relating to the tickets you have purchased.
If you subscribe to The Calligraphy Box, your information will be stored in Subbly (our subscription management system) which is password protected and GDPR compliant. 
If you decide to book our calligraphy services, then we will store your personal data within Dubsado (our client database software) which is password protected and GDPR compliant. If you enquire, but do not book with us, we will delete all your personal data from our client database after an appropriate time.
If you have subscribed to our newsletter then we will send periodical emails about new products, new workshops, special offers or other information you may find interesting in relation to calligraphy. To stop receiving these emails you can click unsubscribe at the bottom of the email or contact us directly at hello@jlcalligraphy.com.
We like to show our work on Facebook, Instagram and on our website. We will not show your address or any of your guest's addressed in these images that we share, instead we create fake address.

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical and electronic procedures to safeguard the information we collect online.

Controlling your personal data

If you have any questions about how your personal data is handled, you can email us at hello@jlcalligraphy.com and we will get back to you as quickly as we can. You can also get in touch if you would like us to show you the personal data that we have for you or if you would like us to delete the personal data that we have for you. You can also ‘opt out’ of any of our newsletter emails that you receive from us by clicking unsubscribe at the bottom of the email.
If you believe that any information we are holding about you is incorrect or incomplete, please let us know as soon as possible.

Disclosures of your personal data

We will never sell or lease your personal information to third parties. We will only use your personal data to be able to fulfill the services that you have booked with us. We will not add your email address to our newsletter list unless you specifically subscribe to this through our website or request to be added.
In some circumstances, we may have to share your personal data with the parties set out below in order to process your order:
- Postal / courier providers who we use to deliver your order
- HM Revenue & Customs and regulators who require reporting of processing activities in certain circumstances
- Applications and tools that we use to run our business and process your orders including our client database software Dubsado, our website provider Showit, MailChimp and our online shop Etsy.

how we use cookies

The Jenni Liandu Calligraphy website uses “cookies” to help improve your online experience. A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard disk by our webpage server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer and are safe.
None of the cookies on our website collect or store personal data, we only store standard internet log data for my internal reporting purposes. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the Jenni Liandu Calligraphy website. We collect this information in a way which does not identify anyone, keeping your privacy as well as allowing us to improve the website wherever possible.
The Jenni Liandu Calligraphy website does collect some personal/identifiable information, but this is always done through asking you the user to enter details such as your email address. We will never capture personal information without making you aware first.
You still have the ability to accept or decline cookies. Most Web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer.
